OnePlus Pad: Release date and pre-order details set for inaugural 7:5 Android tablet

OnePlus touted its first-ever Pad as a distinctive Android device, especially with its innovative ReadFit display and Dimensity 9000 SoC, for the global market during its Cloud11 flagship launch event earlier in 2023 - and then proceeded to leave its actual release for later in the year.

Now, though, the brand has set a date on which pre-orders for the new tablet will begin, and it will be April 10, 2023. However, it seems it will not be that simple, as OnePlus has also now indicated that it may only be taking deposits for the Pad from that day.

The prospective buyer will then pay the (also currently unspecified) remainder of its cost "later". OnePlus has referenced an "amazing gift you'll love" in the same promotional breath, although whether this phrase refers to the tablet itself or a freebie it comes with for being a reservation customer is honestly not clear from that wording.

What is more certain is that hitting the "Notify Me" on the OnePlus Pad's current product page earns the subscriber a chance of winning either a free unit, or a pair of the OEM's Buds Z2.
