Update | OnePlus Pad with 12GB of RAM will be available in India for under US$500
Update: OnePlus has now confirmed that the Pad will be priced as predicted (below) in India for both its 8GB and additional 12GB RAM SKU. It will launch on Amazon as well as through Flipkart and the OEM's own store on April 28, 2023.
Original Article: OnePlus Pad fans in Europe, the US or Canada still have no idea how much the inaugural 144Hz/500-nit display slate actually costs - which means everything is going to plan for the OEM thus far. Meanwhile, however, things might not be going as smoothly for the device's pre-release campaign in India.
The brand might sell the tablet through Flipkart as well as its own store in that country, which is apparent as the online retail giant reportedly posted sales portals for the OnePlus Pad in advance by mistake. Furthermore, there are 2 of these (currently cached) webpages, 1 of which is for a top-end 12GB RAM configuration.
By contrast, OnePlus has only made the Pad available to reserve with 8GB of RAM in other regions. Nevertheless, it is now rumored to be sold as 8/128GB or 12/256GB SKUs in India, priced at INR 37,999 or 39,999 respectively.
That converts to a price range of ~US$463 to ~US$488, although it may not translate perfectly to those of the Pad's additional markets. Nevertheless, it may give reservation customers a rough idea of what OnePlus might ask to complete their purchases from April 25, 2023.
Then again, Flipkart's potentially crucial gaffe might cause a last-minute change of plans that might throw these leak-fueled estimates off somewhat.
