Realme touts its GT 7 Pro as one of the clearest and brightest Android smartphones on the market thanks to its Samsung RealWorld Eco² OLED display. Then again, it has a resolution of 1.5K, which has become fairly standard throughout the industry.
The "GT 8 Pro" could blow that issue out of the water with the 2K spec to match other premium devices such as the OnePlus 13. Its display might also boast "extremely" thin bezels on all 4 sides and an advanced ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, according to the respected leaker Digital Chat Station.
The tipster also now asserts that the upcoming GT 7 Pro Racing Edition (the supposed "pure-blooded performance" version of Realme's current Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered flagship) will launch with internal storage that adheres to the up-to-date UFS 4.1 standard, as opposed to 4.0 in the existing 7 Pro.
Therefore, it might be reasonable to predict that this spec will also be present in the next-gen 8 Pro. That device could also be powered by the upcoming 8 Elite 2 SoC.
In the meantime, the Racing Edition is now projected to launch in China between February 10 and 16, 2024, and at a particularly attractive price thanks to the new subsidies.
The Realme GT 7 Pro: now starting at €779 (~$804) on Amazon.
