Samsung's upcoming One UI 7 will not feature iPhone's 'Dynamic Island' design, tipster says
The upcoming Samsung One UI 7 update was expected to include its own version of Apple's 'Dynamic Island', after a leak hinted towards the same. As an update to the aforementioned info, renowned tipster @UniverseIce (ICE UNIVERSE) posted a counter claim on X/Twitter. He stated that the elliptical design elements in the status bar that led people to believe that Dynamic Island is coming to One UI 7.0 are solely prompts, nothing more.
In One UI 6, there was only one single elliptical element - the call notification. With One UI 7, Samsung will likely bring a similar design to the other apps, such as stopwatch, music and recording. @UniverseIce explicitly stated that he believes this is in no way copying Apple's UI elements, and that Samsung is trying to do their own thing.
Samsung's highly anticipated One UI 7.0 operating system is rumored to enter the beta testing phase on July 29th. Past leaks have suggested a big UI overhaul. The new interface is expected to feature revamped notifications, quick settings, and stock app icons. Samsung is also rumored to introduce enhanced cross-device functionality.
