Samsung Galaxy A06 leaks via renders, revealing dual cameras, teardrop notch and side-mounted fingerprint scanner
New renders of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A06 have surfaced, shedding light on the budget smartphone's design. The images reveal a device with a clean and minimalist aesthetic.
The Galaxy A06 features a flat frame design, measuring 167.3 x 77.9 x 8.0 mm. The front of the device houses a large display with a teardrop notch for the selfie camera.
At the rear, a dual camera setup is vertically aligned, which is pretty decent for an entry-level device. The phone's back panel appears to have a smooth, glossy finish. Essential features like a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack are still present, while a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button takes care of biometrics.

While the renders do offer a clear look at the device's exterior, further details about internal specifications, including the processor, display, and battery capacity, are still under wraps. However, previous leaks are hinting towards the same MediaTek Helio G85 chipset (Cortex-A55 + Cortex-A75 + Mali-G52 MP2 GPU) as the Galaxy A05. The Galaxy A06 is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display, and a 5,000mAh battery at launch.
Speaking of launch, the Galaxy A06 recently received its FCC certification, indicating that a launch date is definitely close. Unfortunately, the leak has no new information regarding concrete availability or a price point. With what we have so far - the (likely) budget-friendly price point paired with the aforementioned specs - the Galaxy A06 looks like a solid entry-level smartphone.
