Insta360 Link 2 and 2C leaks reveal cutting-edge 4K webcams with Auto-Framing, enhanced privacy, HDR, and more
Ahead of Insta360 Ace Pro 2's official reveal, new leaks have surfaced - but not pertaining to the action camera itself. In fact, the latest leaks provide a comprehensive look at the upcoming Insta360 Link 2 and Link 2C webcams, and rumors suggest that they'll be targeted towards professionals and content creators.
Starting with the Insta360 Link 2, the camera introduces Auto Framing, utilizing a built-in gimbal and AI to keep one or multiple subjects centered in the shot automatically. This version also boasts a Whiteboard Mode, where AI algorithms claim to optimize the visibility of your whiteboard content during presentations. It also features portrait mode and uncropped 4K vertical video, as per the leaks. Security-conscious users will appreciate the Privacy Mode, where the gimbal tilts down after 10 seconds of inactivity, or can be manually tilted at any time. Additionally, the DeskView Mode can tilt the camera down to capture desk content. Users can record product demos and share their concepts with remote teams.

The AI Noise Cancellation in the Link 2 is another neat feature to step up voice clarity, by filtering out unwanted background sounds. This version also includes AI Tracking with a 2-axis gimbal to keep the subject in focus even when moving around.
The Insta360 Link 2C, while more compact, also comes equipped with 4K UHD Resolution and Auto-Adjust Framing. It has an HDR Model, and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) system for fast and accurate focusing. Furthermore, there is a Gesture Control feature, allowing users to control various settings with their hand movements. It has a built-in privacy shutter as well - different from the gimbal-based privacy mode in the Link 2. The camera offers USB-C connectivity and comes with a magnetic mount.
From the extensive list of leaks so far, the Insta360 Link 2 and Link 2C seem to have multiple use-cases, from virtual meetings and presentations to content creation and streaming. The Link 2 clearly looks like the more feature-rich version, while the Link 2C offers a compact, simplified option without sacrificing core functionalities. Pricing and availability aren't available right now - more info is expected to surface in the coming days.
