Biotech company Genmab launches ChatGPT Enterprise-powered "AI Everywhere" initiative
With a history of 25 years, Danish biotech company Genmab has recently tripled in size, and since working on next-gen antibody therapies that aim to cure cancer and other serious afflictions requires them to process huge amounts of data, they started using ChatGPT Enterprise shortly after this subscription plan with enhanced security and privacy, along with advanced data analysis capabilities and customization options, was introduced by OpenAI. Last year, they acquired about 1,000 licenses. Now, they are adding no less than 2,000 more as part of the "AI Everywhere" plan, which aims to integrate AI in the work of virtually all employees who are doing R&D work.
Genmab had a simple and quite effective approach to deploying ChatGPT Enterprise to its employees, encouraging them to input their job description into a prompt and ask the AI what it can do to help them. According to Farhat Siddiqui, ChatGPT Product Manager at Genmab,
"Learning to use ChatGPT has been a transformative journey for our employees. Our comprehensive training programs and personalized guidance have empowered them to embrace innovative ways of thinking and problem-solving."
Thanks to the ability to customize ChatGPT provided to enterprise customers, Genmab now uses over 100 custom instances that handle tasks such as document drafting, summarizing scientific literature, performing both basic and advanced data analysis, and much more. One such tool is AI Translator GPT, which has managed to achieve human accuracy in translating complex scientific documents with the help of OpenAI's models. This way, an entire translation team with roles such as translator, editor, and specialized agent for complex scientific data is being replaced, saving both money and time.
A recent survey has shown that Genmab employees save 3.5 hours per week on average thanks to ChatGPT Enterprise, and many already consider this virtual helper to be a vital component in their daily workflow. Until now, these time savings mentioned earlier came alongside an average of 120 ChatGPT Enterprise conversations per week. In the future, this collaboration between Genmab and OpenAI could help bring more effective and affordable treatments to patients faster than ever.
Released less than two weeks ago, Richard H. Miller's UX for Enterprise ChatGPT Solutions: A practical guide to designing enterprise-grade LLMs can be acquired in Kindle format for $31.99, but those who like the old-school paperback format can also get such a version, but the price is $39.99 in this case.
