OpenAI recently released the ChatGPT Windows app. However, the app initially was only accessible to ChatGPT Plus users. Now, the app can be accessed by everyone, including those with the free tier.
The app supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. Users can download the ChatGPT app for Windows on Microsoft Store. The app comes with all the features available on the web version, allowing users to use ChatGPT Search, ChatGPT’s voice mode, and more.
The Windows application also supports the Instant Answers feature, which allows users to instantly open the ChatGPT app in a small window using the Alt + Space shortcut.
The ChatGPT app for macOS has been available since June. Therefore, it has some additional features compared to the Windows version, such as the new beta feature allowing it to analyze content in coding apps like VS Code, Xcode, Terminal, and iTerm2 to provide better answers. Currently, there is no confirmation regarding when this feature will be released for the Windows app.
