Hollyland, a professional audio and video transmission systems and wireless microphones manufacturer, has unveiled its very first 4K UHD webcam, the Lyra. A direct rival to the Insta360’s Link 2C webcam (currently available at $149 on Amazon) comes with an interesting set of features. The webcam features a large 1/1.5” CMOS sensor paired with an f/1.8 aperture, delivering a maximum 4K 30 fps UHD output.
Like its rival, artificial intelligence technologies are also used throughout the camera, including phase detection autofocus (PDAF), AI tuning, intelligent noise cancellation, and AI subject tracking and smart auto framing, which allows users to always stay in the frame. Interestingly, the Lyra comes with a built-in Lark A1 wireless microphone receiver, allowing direct pairing with a Lark A1 transmitter for high-fidelity, cable-free audio.
The built-in omnidirectional microphone system can capture audio at 48 KHz/24-bit resolution and the company claims that it maintains broadcast-level clarity while eliminating background noise. Hollyland frames this audio-visual integration as “4K Vision with Ultra-Voice,” bringing synchronized, crystal-clear performance to both sight and sound, said Hollyland in its press release.
The Lyra can also automatically adjust brightness, contrast, and exposure based on the environment, thanks to the AI tuning system. The AI-equipped webcam is compatible with HollyStudio software, which further allows users to fine-tune settings and more. Dimension-wise, it measures 60 x 33.3 x 37 mm (2.4 x 1.3 x 1.5 inches) and weighs around 80 grams (0.17 lbs).
As for price, the Hollyland 4K UHD webcam is priced at $149, and interested buyers can now purchase it directly from Hollyland’s official online store, Amazon, and authorized retailers.
