The Series 5 Pro 49" Conferencing Monitor is HP's largest screen in the series to date. Featuring a screen diagonal of 49 inches and a 32:9 aspect ratio, the screen is almost exactly the same size as two 27-inch 16:9 screens placed side by side. The subtle 1,800R curvature is designed to ensure comfortable viewing angles.
The monitor reaches a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 with a pixel density of 109 PPI. HP installs a VA panel that has a high contrast ratio and a frame rate of 165 Hz, which should make animations appear smoother. However, HP does not provide any information on colour accuracy and brightness, so it may be worthwhile for interested buyers to wait for initial tests, as there are now strong competitors in this size class, such as the Evnia 49M2C8900AM with an OLED panel.
HP aims to set itself apart from the competition with features such as a 5 MP webcam, which can be folded out of the housing when needed and is discreetly concealed in the frame when not in use, thereby protecting the user's privacy. In addition to HDMI and DisplayPort, HP has also included a USB-C port that can charge connected laptops with up to 140 watts. The monitor also has an integrated USB-A hub, Gigabit Ethernet and integrated speakers.
Price and availability
The HP Series 5 Pro 49" Conferencing Monitor is expected to be available in November 2025. While the recommended retail price has not yet been confirmed, HP has informed PC World that the manufacturer is targeting a price of around $1,300.
