Asus has just introduced the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMGR globally, a month after initially presenting the same monitor by the name ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen 2. As we have discussed previously, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMGR replaces the existing ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG which landed in May 2024.
Now, Asus has listed the similarly-named ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG on its global website with full hardware specifications and device images. Despite the name, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG actually follows the 27-inch ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG that debuted over a year ago (curr. $729.99 on Amazon). As the graphic below makes clear, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG retains the 27-inch and 3rd Gen QD-OLED from the XG27ACDNG with a 1440p native resolution and a 360 Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG offers 0.03 ms GtG response times, 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and 1,000 nits peak HDR brightness. Surprisingly, Asus has dropped the 90 W-capable USB Type-C port found in the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG without offering a replacement. Instead, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG contains an otherwise identical port selection including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and a three-port USB hub.
As far as we can tell, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG adds Asus' Neo Proximity sensor to further limit OLED burn-in via improved presence detection. Moreover, the monitor supports the OLED Care Pro, a technology suite that is said to surpass Asus' older OLED Care Plus technologies. While pricing and availability remain unknown, more details about the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG can be found on Asus' global website.
