AOC's new 27-inch QHD gaming monitor - Q27G4K/S - is now official, nearly 5 months after the launch of the AOC Q27G4K. Its primary focus is on high refresh rate performance and essential features, without unnecessary extras. The monitor is equipped with a flat IPS panel offering a native 400Hz refresh rate - overclockable to 420Hz - along with a QHD (2560x1440) resolution and a 1 ms GtG response time. The display covers 99% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, with a typical brightness of 350 nits and a peak brightness of 450 nits. It holds VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and supports both FreeSync and Adaptive-Sync technologies for low latency and motion blur during gameplay.
The Q27G4K/S’s build is all about function, with a matte anti-glare coating, 178-degree viewing angles, and full ergonomics including 130mm of height adjustment, −5° to 23° tilt, and a 30° swivel. The package omits a standard stand and only provides VESA mount compatibility for mounting. Connectivity options comprise two HDMI 2.1 ports (with DSC), DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, while a DisplayPort cable is included as standard. The power use is measured at 32W during normal operation, with 0.5W in standby. Core gaming-centric features include support for multiple game modes, motion blur reduction, dynamic crosshairs, shadow control, and on-screen FPS counters, as well as both Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture display modes.
There are no built-in speakers, but the model does feature a Kensington lock slot and comes with common certifications such as CCC, CE, FCC, and RoHS compliance. With its 400Hz refresh QHD panel and practical approach, the AOC Q27G4K/S looks like a good monitor for users with responsive gaming at the top of their priority list. As of writing, we are still awaiting official pricing and release information.
