Gigabyte has now quietly expanded the availability of its first Tandem OLED gaming monitor after revealing it earlier this year. To recap, the MO27Q28G initially arrived last month in China before Gigabyte indicated that the monitor would reach other markets on September 30.
Shortly afterwards, Gigabyte clarified that the MO27Q28G would retail for 10% more than expected in the US too. Now, retailers like Alternate and Proshop have started stocking the monitor in the Eurozone.
For context, the MO27Q28G combines a 1440p resolution with a 280 Hz refresh rate, 80 Hz slower than the older Aorus FO27Q3 (curr. $699.99 on Amazon). However, the newer MO27Q28G delivers up to 335 nits SDR and 1,500 nits HDR (APL 1.5%) peak brightnesses with 99.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Moreover, Gigabyte includes the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB 3.2 Type-A downstream
- 1x USB 3.2 Type-B upstream
- 1x USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode/Upstream/18 W Power Delivery)
A week or so ahead of schedule, the MO27Q28G can currently be pre-ordered across Austria, France, Poland and the Netherlands at differing prices. For instance, the MO27Q28G can be picked up in Germany for as low as €546 but just over €600 in Austria. As it stands, Gigabyte plans to initially offer the MO27Q28G in the US for $499, before eventually increasing its price to $549.
