MasterBeast, a relatively new monitor manufacturer, has just unveiled the No. 32, an interesting monitor that, like the MSI MAG 321UPX, sports a 32-inch QD-OLED panel with full 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The special feature of the MasterBeast No. 32 is that the panel is housed in aluminum.
This not only looks stylish but also effectively dissipates the OLED panel's waste heat. The included stand is somewhat reminiscent of the Apple Pro Display XDR, with the monitor being tiltable, height-adjustable and rotatable into portrait mode. The QD-OLED panel can fully display the sRGB color space and at least 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color space. Curiously, MasterBeast only advertises an HDR peak brightness of 450 nits, while the same panel in virtually all other monitors is advertised with a brightness beyond 1,000 nits.
Featuring a response time of just 0.03 milliseconds, the screen should also be suitable for gaming enthusiasts. MasterBeast installs nano-textured glass as standard, which is said to reflect far less ambient light than a conventional monitor with a glossy finish. With two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1a, and two USB-C ports, along with 90 watts of power delivery, the MasterBeast No. 32 promises broad compatibility with PCs, Macs and game consoles.
Price and availability
The MasterBeast No. 32 QD-OLED monitor will soon be available for pre-order via the manufacturer's website at a "Super Early Bird" price, but the manufacturer is yet to confirm further details on pricing and availability. The stand is included, and the manufacturer offers a three-year warranty on the screen. Since MasterBeast is still a relatively new monitor manufacturer, caution is advised, as there is no guarantee that the company will actually be able to deliver the screen or that quality defects will not occur.
