As the name suggests, it is a 27-inch monitor with an OLED panel. It has a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate. One of the major benefits of an OLED panel is contrast and response time, and the Asus monitor features 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and 0.03 ms (GTG) response time. The company says it can reach a peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits but according to RTINGS, it peaks at 904 nits, which is still quite good.
The ROG Switch PG27AQDM-R supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) with Adaptive-Synch and has Asus’ OLED care features baked in. Asus claims it covers 99% DCI-P3 color space with delta E of less than two. There is also a micro-texture coating to reduce glare and reflections. For connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC (Display Stream Compression), an earphone jack, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. No HDMI 2.1 ports here, unfortunately.
