ViewSonic launches new portable monitor with compact OLED screen and 90 Hz refresh rate

ViewSonic has introduced a new portable monitor in China, the VX14P1-3K-OLED. It features a 14-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The company claims that this panel can cover 100% of sRGB, DCI-P3, and AdobeRGB color spaces, promising true-to-life colors.

This OLED panel is also said to come with DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. With this, the portable display should be capable of offering deeper darker and brighter whites while outputting HDR content.

Another notable aspect of the new ViewSonic OLED portable monitor is the 90 Hz refresh rate. Paired with a 1 ms GtG response time, the panel is said to deliver a smooth and responsive gaming experience. However, there's no mention of AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync support.

The company further highlights the port selection of this 14-inch portable monitor. It features two USB-C ports, one mini HDMI, and one 3.5 mm audio port. Other highlights of the portable monitor include a slim and compact form factor, 10-bit color depth, and 400 nits brightness rating. The launch price of the ViewSonic VX14P1-3K-OLED in China is CNY 2,499, about $351, and the company has yet to share when it will be available in the global market.
