KYY has launched a new X90E 15.6-inch triple portable monitor in the global market. It has a 15.6-inch dual-screen setup, and each screen features an IPS panel that delivers 1920 x 1080 (FHD) resolution, a peak brightness of 260 nits, and a standard 60 Hz refresh rate.
Each of the two IPS panels covers 85% of the sRGB color gamut (which is a little low for 8-bit color depth, so presumably 6 bits is what the user is getting here) and offers a 178° wide viewing angle. On top of that, the product comes with a built-in kickstand with 0-90° tilt adjustment. You can also rotate each screen up to 210° to share content with colleagues, and more.
Another notable aspect of the new X90E is the multiple display modes, including extended mode, mirror mode, portrait mode, single second screen mode, and preset mode. Each mode has its own functionality, and you can choose the mode depending on your workflow. For example, according to KYY’s press release, the portrait mode is for coding, the mirror mode for presentations, while the extended mode allows you to use all three screens independently. Some of these features seem to require a modern Windows OS to work.
Unlike the ViewSonic VX14P1-3K OLED portable monitor, this one lacks any HDR certification. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have Nvidia G-Sync or AMD FreeSync support, either. Interestingly, however, the portable monitor seems to require only one USB-C to USB-C cable to keep both screens running at the same time - KYY's wording on this could have been clearer.
As for price, the KYY X90E triple portable monitor is priced at $299. Interested buyers can now purchase the monitor directly from Amazon.com. For more details, head over to KYY’s official website.
