There have been leaks and rumors about a new OnePlus smartphone series. Now, OnePlus President Louis Lee has officially confirmed the Turbo series and outlined what to expect from the new lineup.
Writing on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, the company's executive revealed that the OnePlus Turbo series will feature performance-centric smartphones. The series will prioritize battery life and gaming capabilities within its price point. Although the exact price segment for the Turbo series has not been revealed, it is expected to be a mid-range series rivaling the Redmi Turbo lineup.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, two Turbo series devices are expected to launch in January 2026. Both devices are said to feature large displays and batteries around the 9,000mAh mark. For reference, the recently launched OnePlus Ace 6T features the largest battery in a OnePlus phone to date with an 8,300mAh capacity (Ugreen 25K powerbank curr. $65 on Amazon). Meanwhile, a previous leak suggested that one of the Turbo series smartphones could use a tweaked version of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
Note that the OnePlus Turbo series is currently confirmed only for the Chinese market; a global release remains uncertain. In related news, the company will be launching the OnePlus 15R in international markets. A recent leak revealed its camera specifications.
