Motorola has finally announced the Moto G Power 2026, over seven months after the device first leaked online. Reappearing last month in the wake of the Moto G67 Power's launch, the Moto G Power 2026 arrives less than a year after Motorola released its predecessor (curr. $199.99 on Amazon).
As a result, precious little has changed between Motorola's 2025 and 2026 models. For instance, the new handset retains its predecessor's MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and 6.8-inch IPS display that outputs at 2,388 x 1,080 pixels with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the 50 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS) returns, as does an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
However, Motorola has swapped a 16 MP front-facing camera for a superior 32 MP lens. Moreover, the Moto G Power 2026 contains a modest 4% larger battery capacity totalling 5,200 mAh. Also, the device arrives running Android 16 rather than Android 15. Thus, the 2026 should continue to receive updates for around a year longer than its 2025 predecessor.
The Moto G Power 2026 will be available to order as an unlocked handset on January 8 from Amazon, Best Buy and Motorola directly in the US for $299.99 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. By contrast, the handset will reach Canada for CA$449.99 on the same day, but only on Motorola's website. Typically, Motorola does not offer Moto G Power models outside North America.
