Leaker Evan Blass has shed new light on images of an unreleased Motorola Moto G smartphone that emerged last week. To recap, the images were thought to be of a new Moto G Stylus, with Motorola likely adopting a '2026' moniker to help distinguish the device from its 2025-branded counterpart (curr. $284.99 on Amazon).
Arguably, leaks of this kind are a little early considering that Motorola typically refreshes its Moto G Stylus range annually in April or May. Nonetheless, these images were attributed to the next Moto G Stylus despite no stylus aperture being visible in the images that XpertPick shared. According to Evan Blass, these images are not of a Moto G Stylus at all.
Instead the leaker reports that these images show a new Moto G Power, whose existence was revealed way back in May. Ultimately, the Moto G Power and Moto G Stylus look fairly similar with a familial design language found across dozens of recent Moto G and Edge series releases.
However, the device shown in last week's leak is an exact match for the Moto G Power (2026) promotional images that Android Headlines unearthed in the spring. Given that Motorola launched the Moto G Power (2025) in January, it seems more likely that we are looking at its successor than anything else. If that is the case, precious little has changed visually between generations, bar updated colourways like the blue and cream variants shown above and below. Full device specifications remain unknown for now, though.
