Xiaomi readies Android 16-based stable HyperOS 3 update for two global phones from 2022

Xiaomi has almost completed the first batch of global devices that were planned to receive stable HyperOS 3 by November 2025. A handful of phones from the second batch are expected to receive the Android 16 update soon, and now, it seems that the devices from the third batch will also get updated in due time.

To be specific, the internal HyperOS 3 stable test builds for the Xiaomi 13 series have been spotted. This phone lineup resides in the third batch of the announced rollout timeline, and it initially debuted in 2022.

As spotted by XiaomiTime, the internal test build for the global Xiaomi 13 is OS3.0.0.1.WMCMIXM, while 13 Pro has the OS3.0.0.3.WMBEUXM build number. The outlet has also spotted the internal build for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, but it's for the Chinese region.

Looking back, the global Xiaomi 13 and 13T series are planned to get the Android 16 update by March 2026. However, if the devices have indeed entered internal testing, they are set to receive the stable HyperOS 3 update sooner rather than later, possibly within December 2025.

For those who missed it, Xiaomi is set to roll out stable HyperOS 3 to around 40 global devices by December 2025. Among the first batch of devices, only the Xiaomi Pad Mini, Mix Flip, Redmi Note 14 4G, and Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G are left. These phones are expected to be updated by November 2025.
