The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i aims to deliver the highest level of gaming performance and uncompromising productivity. An OLED gaming laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU and an RTX 5090 graphics card demands a premium. However, as a Black Friday doorbuster at the Lenovo Store, it’s now at one of its lowest asking prices of 2025.
Shipping with a crisp 16-inch WQXGA OLED display and 64GB of DDR5 memory, the discounted Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 is $2855. To realize the full $1600+ savings, enter coupon codes BFEMAILDEAL and EXTRAFIVE at checkout. Buyers also need to create a free Lenovo Rewards account.
Balancing performance with portability
With four RGB zones, including rear-edge illumination, the Lenovo laptop has a clear gaming aesthetic. Still, when unlit, the Legion Pro 7i looks more inconspicuous. Practically, it has a sturdy design, enhanced by a metal chassis.
Unfortunately, top-end components and admirable build quality result in an OLED gaming laptop that weighs at least 6 lbs/2.7 kg. It’s chunky compared to some alternatives, with the Razer Blade 16 substantially thinner.
The Core Ultra 9 275HX processor has no weak links with single or multi-core performance. The laptop posted impressive PCMark 10 scores in Notebookcheck’s review of the RTX 5080 version of the Lenovo laptop. Battery life is quite poor, so owners will need to lug around the included 400-watt power adapter.
Any RTX 5090 GPU laptop deal with an OLED display will draw attention. Sadly, graphical benchmarks for the notebook in this configuration are rare. At resolutions below 4K, the mobile variation of the Blackwell card offers diminished returns over the RTX 5080. Nevertheless, with 24GB of GDDR7 VRAM and 10496 CUDA cores, 3D modeling and intensive editing tasks can see benefits.
The 16-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED screen is a selling point for the Legion Pro 7i Gen 10. Competitive gamers can make use of its 240Hz maximum refresh rate with G-Sync support. Notebookcheck’s testing of the Lenovo laptop also found rock-bottom response times.
The Legion Pro 7i comes fully loaded
With this OLED gaming laptop on sale for Black Friday, buyers aren’t likely to need upgrades. Considering the rising DDR5 prices, the fact that it includes 64GB of memory is an advantage. Storage is also generous with a 2TB M.2 SSD, although it’s only PCIe Gen4.
An imposing footprint and less-than-ideal battery life may make some buyers think twice. Still, few promotions have featured this pairing of Arrow Lake processor and Blackwell GPU at $2855.
