Stable HyperOS 3 goes live for 20 new Redmi and Xiaomi devices

Xiaomi has kicked off the final phase of its HyperOS 3 rollout, pushing the stable Android update to more than a dozen devices. The company confirmed the expansion in an official announcement posted on its Chinese MIUI community forums, marking the completion of its domestic HyperOS 3 rollout that first began back in October.
In the final wave, Xiaomi is extending HyperOS 3 to 20 new devices, including older flagships from as far back as 2021, mid-range Redmi Note phones, a few Redmi tablets, and smart TVs. The latest update breathes new life into 2021 flagships like the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12S series, as well as Redmi Note 12T Pro, Redmi Note 15R, Redmi 14C, Redmi Civi 3/2, Redmi K50 Ultimate Edition, and Redmi Pad Pro series (Xiaomi 15 Pro curr. €697 at TradingShenzhen).

While not explicitly mentioned in the official announcement, the stable HyperOS 3 build for the Xiaomi 12T Pro, Xiaomi 12S series, Redmi Note 12T Pro, and Xiaomi Civi 3 and 2 is most likely based on Android 15 instead of the latest Android 16 base. That said, the overall software and user experience shouldn't be too different from devices running Android 16-based version as most of HyperOS 3’s marquee features and visual changes aren't directly tied to the underlying Android version. These older models should get much of the same software experience, including the new iPhone-style Hyper Island, iOS-style lockscreen styles, system-level performance enhancements that supposedly boost UI smoothness and app opening speeds, and AI-powered writing and image editing tools.
Global HyperOS 3 rollout will stretch well into March
While this announcement effectively wraps up the HyperOS 3 rollout for Chinese models, the global rollout is still underway and is expected to continue through March, with several popular devices still waiting their turn.
