HyperOS rollout hits pause as Xiaomi winds down operations for holidays

Xiaomi is almost done with the HyperOS 3 rollout. In early February 2026, XiaomiTime's tracker reported that 95% of the planned devices had received the update, and it seems that not all the remaining devices will be updated before March 2026.
As XiaomiTime reports, Xiaomi is apparently planning to hold a relatively long holiday period soon. It's because of the Chinese Lunar New Year, and the celebration for this upcoming event will span from February 17 to March 03, 2026. The company has reportedly started to wind down operations, and it won't be offering any major HyperOS update until the holiday period is over.
Just recently, 20 new devices from the Redmi and Xiaomi ranges received the stable HyperOS 3 update, and even with this hiatus, the company may not be far behind in completing the rollout in time. To look back, the brand promised that all the planned global devices would be updated by March 2026.
So, even with this pause in update rollout, Xiaomi will have quite an amount of time to finish updating the remaining eligible devices. In related news, to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, the brand has added new features to the Xiaomi 17 Pro phones (12/256GB Pro curr. $830.06 on TradingShenzhen), including a New Year countdown and air gestures that light up firework animations. They are available on the HyperOS 3.0.44.0.WPCNXM update.
