Latest Xiaomi 18 series spec leak hints at Snapdragon Pro chip, cameras, and massive batteries across the lineup

One of the most feature packed smartphones come from Xiaomi and the Xiaomi 17 series is a prime example of that. So naturally, it’s exciting when rumors and leaks about the next generation Xiaomi flagship series come out. The latest sheds some light on the SoC, screen sizes, cameras, and battery capacity for the entire lineup, including the Xiaomi 18 Ultra.
Till now, there have been reports of the Xiaomi 18 series brining some interesting camera upgrades in partnership with Leica. Moreover, there was uncertainty about the processors powering the flagship series as reports claimed that Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 6 Pro SoC. But now, known leaker Debayan Roy has shared some details on X that make things a bit clearer. The post states that the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 with only the Xiaomi 18 Ultra featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
Besides the processors, the leaker states that the Xiaomi 18 Ultra will feature a 6.9-inch 2K LTPO OLED display. The Xiaomi 18, on the other hand, will pack a 6.3-inch flat 120 Hz LTPO OLED panel, which is in line with previous leaks. The phone will come with a 200 MP camera, as well as two 50 MP sensors. The 18 Pro and Pro Max will reportedly feature 6.3 and 6.9-inch 2K 120 Hz LTPO OLED panels, respectively. Both these phones will pack a dual 200 MP setup, along with a 50 MP shooter.
All four phones are said to pack over 7,000 mAh batteries, which is great because only two of the four from the Xiaomi 17 series came with 7,000 mAh or larger batteries. That’s about all the information shared by the leaker. As for release, the Xiaomi 18 series will come out in September or October in China, with a global either end of the year or early next year. The Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are headed for the global market as well, by end of February.
