Xiaomi 18 series to adopt Galaxy S26 Ultra's new Privacy Display feature

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not arrive with an exhaustive list of upgrades over its predecessor, but hands-on reviews have confirmed the presence of a new Privacy Display feature. Apparently, that feature is set to be adopted by other OEMs in short order.
As revealed by Digital Chat Station, the new Privacy Display feature is already being tested by Chinese OEMs and is set to appear on next-gen flagship phones later this year. The leaker fails to name the exact brands that will copy the hardware-based feature but does claim that new phones sporting it will arrive in September—strongly hinting at the Xiaomi 18 series phones being the earliest adopters.
Presumably, other Chinese OEMs like Oppo and Vivo will follow suit in the months after the release of the Xiaomi 18 series. The Privacy Display feature itself may not be considered superlative by most, but it is a handy QoL feature that effectively makes privacy screen protectors obsolete while also allowing users to decide when they want the contents of their phone's display obscured from wandering eyes.
