New Casio G-Shock DW-5600MNC watches with stylish straps revealed ahead of March release

Casio's most popular series is reportedly getting a new design treatment. The Japanese watchmaker is preparing to launch a new set of G-Shock models under the DW-5600MNC series in Japan this March. The information comes from Great G-Shock World, which has a stellar track record when it comes to Casio leaks.
The new lineup, dubbed DW-5600MNC, is based on the classic DW-5600 platform. From the images shared, the core case structure is unchanged - you'll get the familiar resin bezel, four-button layout, and standard digital display with 20 bar water resistance and LED backlight.
The straps are what make this upcoming series so unique. Instead of the usual resin band, the DW-5600MNC models feature a cloth-style cross band. The fabric looks to be layered, with visible texture and contrasting inner linings. In one light grey variant (DW-5600MNC-7A8), the strap shows a bright yellow inner accent peeking through the top and bottom edges. The black version (DW-5600MNC-1) has a more understated look with a matching dark fabric band. Another model, DW-5600MNC-BA2, uses a dark case with a multicolor strap, with blue and orange accents along the sides. While detailed material information is not confirmed, the bands look to be thicker than standard nylon straps.
No pricing details have been shared for the Japanese market. The report also adds that European retailers have already listed early information. Casio is expected to provide further details closer to the March release window.
