Xiaomi Watch 5: Price leaks for new global smartwatch running Wear OS

The Xiaomi Watch 5 is almost two months old. Introduced with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitzphone Edition, the Watch 5 remains available only in China on an official basis. However, that could soon change according to a recent leak.
Reportedly, the Xiaomi Watch 5 will soon launch in Europe. According to Adam Kurfürst, one Czech retailer has already revealed pricing and colour options for the Watch 5. Writing on SvětAndroida, Kurfürst alleges that Xiaomi intends to sell the Watch 5 in for CZK 7,990, which converts to around €329 or $391 including VAT.
Kurfürst adds that the Watch 5 will be available in a choice between Black and Juniper Green colours. Like its Chinese counterpart, the global Watch 5 is slated to feature a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with a 930 mAh battery rated for up to 6 days of battery life, too.
Surprisingly, the global model is rumoured to run Wear OS rather than Xiaomi's proprietary equivalent. In that sense, the Watch 5 should serve as a replacement for the older Watch 2 Pro (curr. $239.99 on Amazon). Although a release date escapes Kurfürst's leak, its timing suggests that the Watch 5 will receive a global release before MWC 2026 in early March alongside the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro.
