New Insta360 Luna vlogging camera officially revealed with launch confirmed before DJI Osmo Pocket 4

Insta360 beat DJI to unveiling the first 360° drone last year by releasing the A1 in collaboration with Antigravity. As it stands, DJI has not publicly acknowledged the existence of the long-rumoured Avata 360, either. The same is true for the Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo Pocket 4 Pro, which have been the subject of various leaks in recent months.
Now, Insta360 has got ahead of DJI once again by lifting the lid on its first vlogging camera. For context, Insta360 has made its announcement just days after Vivo revealed it would be joining the same market before the end of the year. Nonetheless, the teaser image shared at a conference in China confirms that the Luna will surpass the Osmo Pocket 3 (curr. $483 on Amazon) with a dual camera set-up like the rumoured Osmo Pocket 4 Pro.
At the same time, Insta360's CEO emphasised that the Luna is 'absolutely not another Pocket'. To that end, the Insta360 Luna is rumoured to be the first release to bring telephoto optics to the vlogging camera space. Currently, Insta360 has only teased that the Luna will be available during the first half of 2026. Whether that applies globally or just in China remains to be seen at this stage, though.
