DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro but by Insta360: Leaker shares new details about Insta360 Luna vlogging camera

Earlier this week, Insta360 confirmed rumours that it was developing an alternative to DJI's Osmo Pocket division. Announced in the wake of Vivo revealing plans to do the same, the Insta360 Luna does not have a firm launch date just yet. For the time being, Insta360 has only teased that the Luna will be available before July.
In the meantime, a newly surfaced patent has outlined what to expect from highlights that the Luna's dual camera modules will not work in tandem to create images. Reportedly, the Luna's cameras will operate like a smartphone's with a regular 1x wide lens complemented by a 3x optical zoom telephoto lens. Likewise, both cameras output via a mobile chipset with an integrated image signal processor (ISP).
Moreover, a secondary pre-ISP chip is also on hand to minimise image noise, optimise brightness and enhance shadows before final processing by the ISP itself. Meanwhile, zoom levels can be switched between using a dedicated joystick or touchscreen gestures on the Luna's fold-out viewfinder. In that sense, the Luna operates like the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (curr. $482 on Amazon), as well as the upcoming Osmo Pocket 4 Pro with its rumoured dual camera set-up. As it stands, the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro is expected to be available before the Insta360 Luna hits shelves.
