Affordable TTArtisan AF 35mm f/1.8 II lens launches as Orange Pop Limited Edition for Sony E and Fujifilm X

TTArtisan is reissuing its 35mm f/1.8 II autofocus lens as an Orange Pop Limited Edition. The new model is listed at $140, making it slightly more expensive than the older black variant, which currently costs $125. The Limited Edition combines a yellow body with a red focus ring, giving it the look of a toy camera.
The orange variant comes with a lens hood in a matching colour and yellow packaging. Technically, the lens is identical to the silver and black models. Featuring ten elements in seven groups, including two ED elements, the lens is designed to deliver relatively high image quality. As the manufacturer's MTF curves show, the lens should produce relatively sharp photos even at a wide-open aperture, although sharpness drops off noticeably at the edges of the frame.
The lens has an integrated autofocus motor, but can also be focused manually using the focus ring. The minimum focusing distance is 0.4 meters. A unique feature is the USB-C port on the rear lens cap, which allows for firmware updates. The TTArtisan 35mm f/1.8 II is approximately 5 centimeters long and weighs between 176 and 193 grams, depending on the variant.
The lens is suitable for Sony E-mount and Fujifilm X-mount cameras, and the black and silver variants also work with the Nikon Z-mount. In any case, the lens is only suitable for cameras with an APS-C sensor, as it does not fully cover a full-frame sensor.
