Fujifilm X-Pro 4 camera with large sensor and hybrid viewfinder rumored to launch after the X-T6

Nearly a year ago, first rumors claimed that Fujifilm is developing a successor to the Fujifilm X-Pro 3. Fujifilm itself later confirmed that the X-Pro 4 will hit the market one day and will receive substantial upgrades to satisfy professional users as well. The company did not comment on a specific timeframe back then.
That said, FujiRumors has now learned that the Fujifilm X-Pro 4 will launch after the Fujifilm X-T6. The successor to the Fujifilm X-T5 (from $1,999 on Amazon) is expected to be officially unveiled in September. That puts the Fujifilm X-Pro 4 launch no earlier than October, and possibly not until next year. While these latest rumors do not provide specific details, they do suggest that Fujifilm is actively working on the X-Pro 4 and that the camera’s launch is getting closer.
The Fujifilm X-Pro series has a number of unusual features that set the X-Pro 3 apart from competitors. That starts with its striking retro design, as the top and bottom covers are made from titanium. At first glance, the optical viewfinder resembles the Leica M. It is not a rangefinder, but this hybrid viewfinder can be switched to an electronic viewfinder at the press of a button, in which case it utilizes a 0.5-inch OLED panel with 3.69 million dots.
The 3-inch touchscreen can be folded inward thanks to a special hinge, which reveals the 1.28-inch display that can show exposure settings or the selected Film Simulation. Shutter speed, ISO, and aperture can be adjusted directly via dedicated dials, so there is no need to go through menus. More details on the older Fujifilm X-Pro 3 can be found on Fujifilm’s official website.
