Ayaneo has started selling its first AMD Strix Halo-powered gaming handheld. Rivalling the OneXPlayer X1 Pro and GPD Win 5, the Ayaneo Next II attempts to surpass both with a 9.06-inch and 1,155-nit OLED display combined with a huge 116 Wh external battery pack.

Ayaneo has finally released its Next 2 gaming handheld after an extended wait. For context, the company first teased the Next 2 over three years ago in mid-2022 with AMD Radeon RX 6000 and Intel Arc dGPU options. Fast forward to early 2026, and the Next 2 is now available to back on Indiegogo with a choice between two AMD Strix Halo APUs.

Specifically, Ayaneo offers the Next 2 with either the Ryzen AI Max 385 or Ryzen AI Max+ 395, just like the OneXPlayer Apex and GPD Win 5 before it (curr. $2,399.99 on Amazon). The Next 2 departs from its peers with a 9.06-inch OLED display and a 116 Wh external battery. All told, the Next 2 weighs 341.69 x 146.24 x 26.15 mm and weighs approximately 1.43 kg. Please see the specification sheet below for full technical details.

The Next 2 starts at $1,799 on Indiegogo with a Ryzen AI Max 385, 32 GB of storage and 1 TB of storage. By contrast, Ryzen AI Max+ 395 variants command at least a $2,299 price tag by virtue of being paired with 64 GB of RAM. Alternatively, Ayaneo sells a 128 GB RAM and 2 TB storage variant for $3,499. All three configurations are set to ship during June 2026.
