In recent days, many well-known leakers have once again commented on the upcoming Zeiss camera flagship, which is expected to feature a 35mm Zeiss main camera and top-notch ultra-wide-angle quality in Europe for the first time. The posts on Weibo and X contain a lot of familiar information, such as the 200 MP duo consisting of a 1/1.12-inch Sony LYT-901 main camera and a 1/1.4-inch telephoto lens, which will probably be expanded for the first time to include a 5 MP multispectral color sensor.
Leakers such as Smart Pikachu and Digital Chat Station, who stress that they have already seen test units firsthand, have also provided some new tidbits of information about the Vivo X300 Ultra. The former writes, for example, about improved video quality when using the teleconverter, which has also been redesigned and, according to Digital Chat Station is far ahead of competing smartphones. Speculation is abuzz about what the "new job" could be, with optical zoom being mentioned several times. This would confirm earlier rumors about optical zoom, although possibly only via external optics and not integrated directly into the smartphone like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
Vivo X300 Ultra: More specs online
The Vivo X300 Ultra itself is also set to be the heaviest ultra flagship on the market and will feature a new Zeiss T* coating and improved night photography. One of the many X accounts that collects and summarizes information about unreleased tech gadgets also mentions other Vivo X300 Ultra specs that are obvious, such as a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a flat 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display, and a 7,000 mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging and 40-watt wireless charging. The housing will, of course, be IP69 certified. It remains to be seen whether the 7,000 mAh battery will make it to Europe, especially since Vivo has so far tended to rely on single-cell batteries, which are usually subject to special transport regulations.
Best ultra-wide angle and Vivo X300 Max
A significant advantage of the Vivo X200 Ultra over its competitors was, and still is, its 1/1.28-inch ultra-wide-angle camera. This feature is likely to be further enhanced on the successor model, as Digital Chat Station recently explained on Weibo. Video recordings in particular are expected to benefit from the industry's best ultra-wide angle. Another interesting aspect of this post is a comment mentioning a Vivo X300 Max, which will apparently be launched in China at the same time as the Vivo X300 Ultra and is likely to be a larger Vivo X300 variant with similar camera features.
Vivo X300 Ultra Sat version and vlogging camera
A second Vivo X300 Ultra variant, model number V2547DA, has recently completed the standard certification process in China. This variant differs from the regular Vivo X300 Ultra primarily in its integrated satellite receiver components. More intriguing, however, are reports from Chinese media about a dedicated mini-camera currently under development at Vivo, slated for release in 2026. This could be a vlogging camera similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket series, which is also being updated this year. According to the report, this has even been confirmed by Vivo.
