Vivo X300 Ultra reviewed
After this year's Ultra phones from various manufacturers completed our tests, we can now crown a new leader in our ranking of the best smartphones for photos and videos. However, the successor to the Vivo X300 Pro is not a major surprise in our ranking.

We have a new leader in our ranking of the best smartphones for photos and videos. Neither the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra nor the Oppo Find X9 Ultra managed to secure the highest camera score in our reviews. The X300 Ultra takes first place, with a wide gap to the next non-Vivo smartphone.

Even the Oppo Find X9 Ultra does not stand a chance against the Vivo X300 Ultra.

Vivo's current flagship phone combines uncompromising camera hardware, including three extra-large image sensors, with one of the best algorithms on the market, if not the best outright. After some initial issues, the Vivo X300 Ultra achieves a fantastic camera score in our review, though that also comes at a price.

Current prices for the only storage option planned for Europe, with 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, are still above €1,800 in Europe. However, our imported model from Trading Shenzhen starts at under €1,000, making the China version significantly more affordable. Those who are eager to learn more about the differences between the global version and a China import can find a summary in our review of the Vivo X300 Ultra.

Vivo X300 Ultra has the best smartphone camera

The Vivo X300 Ultra's camera hardware is top-tier. All three Zeiss-branded cameras use large sensors, starting with a 1/1.12-inch format for the main camera (Sony LYT-901), followed by 1/1.28 inches for the ultra-wide (Sony LYT-818) and 1/1.4 inches (ISOCELL HP0) for the telephoto camera.

The photo quality speaks for itself, and all sample shots from the Vivo smartphone can be found in our review. With the X300 Ultra, Vivo also sets a new standard for photo capture across all focal lengths. The manufacturer's new flagship smartphone now allows shots at a resolution of 25 MP, which brings out more detail than the usual 12.5 MP.

The Vivo X300 Ultra also has plenty to offer when it comes to video. In addition to a 4K120 option across all focal lengths, the flagship phone also records 120 frames per second in Dolby Vision and 10-bit LOG. Video recording at up to 8K is also possible, as expected from a flagship phone.
