Hollyland launches new 4K automatic PTZ camera with 30x optical zoom

Hollyland, a well-known audio and video transmission solutions manufacturer brand, has launched its all-new 4K automatic pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera, the Astra P1, in the global market. According to the brand, the 4K PTZ camera is designed for professional live streaming and recording in auditoriums or other production environments.
The Astra P1 boasts a 1/1.8” CMOS sensor that requires only 0.5 lux of light. Speaking of output, the camera allows users to capture videos at 4K/60 fps. The company claims that the camera can deliver sharp image quality, even in uneven lighting conditions that are common in live venues such as concert halls and large stages. On top of these features, the Astra P1 has 30x optical zoom and 16x digital zoom support.
Furthermore, Hollyland has incorporated two modes of AI auto-tracking into the P1, which is further said to reduce manual workloads. The first is presenter tracking that uses human-based logic, including motion and posture recognition, to follow the speaker and distinguish the subject from the background. The second is zone tracking that allows users to set up to four key areas in a venue for smooth, automated transition as the target moves, said Hollyland in its press release.
Interestingly, the Astra P1 comes with built-in NDI IHX3 support, with no backend login, serial number entry, or hidden fees. On top of these features, it is designed to integrate directly with NDI workflows and is compatible with OBX, vMix, and professional broadcast systems. You get a variety of port options, including 1 x 3.5 mm Line In, 1 x 3.5 mm Line Out, 1 x RS485, 1 x RS232, 1 x RH45, 1 x USB-A 2.0, 1 x USB-B 3.0, 1 x 3G-SDI, 1 x HDMI 2.0, and 1 x DC 12 V power port.
Dimensionally, the P1 measures 169 x 188 x 226 mm (6.6 x 7.4 x 8.8 inches) and weighs approximately 2.3 kg (5 lbs). Moreover, the camera is rated to do so with 170° pan and 90° tilt (PTZ) support. Plus, users can also remotely access pan, tilt, zoom, and other settings through Hollyland’s web control.
Available in a single black colorway, the Hollyland Astra P1 has an MSRP of $1,999. It’s now available for purchase via Hollyland’s official website.
