Camera powerhouse flagship phone confirmed for global release starting with MWC showcase

Following the global release of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, more "Ultra" smartphones are on the way. Xiaomi's 17 Ultra is set to debut globally in a matter of days and it appears it will be joined in due course by yet another of its ilk—the Vivo X300 Ultra.
As confirmed by the company's press release on the subject today, Vivo will be showcasing the Vivo X300 Ultra at MWC in Barcelona:
At the event, Vivo will offer the first global preview of its upcoming flagship, the X300 Ultra...Vivo’s debut at MWC marks a strategic milestone in its evolution as a global technology leader...At the center of Vivo’s MWC 2026 showcase will be the preview of the X300 Ultra, providing an early look at Vivo’s latest premium design language and imaging advancements.
The press release effectively confirms that the X300 Ultra will go on to launch globally, although we expect availability to be significantly more limited than with devices from companies like Samsung and Apple. It would be a step forward regardless, as the X300 Ultra is expected to debut as one of the best camera smartphones on the market. In addition to the X300 Ultra, Vivo will also show off other devices in the X300 series, along with the new mid-range V70 series, and its foldable from last year, the X Fold5.
As for the X300 Ultra itself, it's expected to feature Sony's 200 MP LYT901 as its main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, a 200 MP periscope zoom lens, and a 50 MP selfie snapper. Other leaked hardware features include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 100 W wired charging, and a 7,000 mAh battery.
