It seems that DJI is moving closer to replacing its Osmo Pocket 3 vlogging camera (curr. $489.99 on Amazon). In recent weeks, there have been rumours about DJI delaying the launch of the Osmo Pocket 4 series due to quality control issues with some of the cameras' official accessories.
Currently, the Osmo Pocket 4 is expected to arrive before the rumoured Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. Most likely, this will take the shape of separate launch events, with China receiving the Osmo Pocket 4 first too. To that end, retail packaging of only the Osmo Pocket 4 has turned up online. Reposted to X, the image is considered legitimate at this stage by frequent leakers like Igor Bogdanov.
Likewise, we cannot observe any abnormalities that would point to the image being doctored or photoshopped. On the face of it, little has changed visually between the Osmo Pocket 3 and Osmo Pocket 4. Overall, DJI's form factor remains unchanged with a rotating display flanked by physical controls on the bottom and a single camera lens up top.
However, Osmo branding has made way for two new physical controls. While the packaging does not describe their purposes, another image shows that the left button handles zoom controls, while the other is user-customisable. At the same time, Bogdanov has posted a separate image suggesting that Chinese retailers are preparing for incoming Osmo Pocket 4 stock. Thus, we may see DJI sharing a new device teaser sooner rather than later.
