Amazfit smartwatches get map and flashlight improvements in new update

Amazfit is rolling out a new update for the T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch. The version 4.4.2.3 release arrives a couple of weeks after firmware version 4.4.1.3, which brought a range of bug fixes to users of the wearable.
In a recent social media post, Amazfit confirmed that the firmware version 4.4.2.3 update for the T-Rex 3 Pro 48 mm was identical to the recent update for the T-Rex 3. It adds new in-workout charts for indoor cyclists, showing data captured by their connected speed, power or cadence sensor. There are optimizations linked to weather forecasts, with data not displayed when unavailable at the start of a workout. Plus, users can now access navigation settings by pressing SEL from the Map app or workout track pages, and the default navigation view is now “North Up”.
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro 44 mm (curr. $399.99 at Amazon) has a similar update, including all of the improvements mentioned above. This smaller smartwatch also gets optimization for the flashlight. It appears that users must now press and hold the UP button for longer to trigger the light, as a way to reduce the number of accidental triggers.
Firmware version 4.4.2.3 is likely rolling out to users of both sizes of the T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch in phases. When it is available in your region, you will be able to find and download the update in the Zepp app.
