Amazfit brings map improvements to smartwatches in new update

Amazfit’s T-Rex 3 smartwatch is receiving another update. This wearable was updated very recently, with firmware version 4.4.1.3 released at the end of January 2026, gaining a new Podcast app.
Now, firmware version 4.4.2.3 is rolling out to Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch users. When using a third-party speed, power or cadence sensor, the graph displaying the captured data is now shown automatically during a workout. Plus, for the workout log in the Zepp app, the weather will no longer be displayed if this data is not available at the start of the workout.
Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch users get two map related enhancements. Firstly, you can now use the SEL button to quickly access navigation settings in the Map app or workout track pages. Secondly, “North up” is the new default navigation mode in the Map app. The final points in the change log note improvements for activity reminders, including a fix for unexpected push notifications, as well as other minor bug fixes and improvements.
It is unclear when all users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch (curr. $249.98 at Amazon) will receive firmware version 4.4.2.3. A similar update for the T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch is expected to be released in the near future.
