New Amazfit Active 3 smartwatch appears in recent update

Another Amazfit smartwatch, the Active 3 Premium, appears to be on the way. The Zepp Health brand’s most recent launch was the Active Max, released in December 2025 (curr. $169.99 at Amazon).
The Amazfit Active 3 Premium has been spotted in the code behind the recent Zepp app version 10.0.5 update by Gadgets and Wearables. It appears that only the name of the product, and no details about its specifications, have been uncovered so far. As such, it is unclear how this new smartwatch could differ from the older Active 2 Premium.
As a reminder, the Active 2 Premium offers features like health metric tracking, GPS navigation, over 160 workout modes, and support for Zepp Pay contactless payments via NFC (select European countries only). It has a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, protected with sapphire glass, and comes with leather and silicone strap options. Whether or not the Active 3 Premium could include some of the benefits of the Active Max, such as a larger battery and more storage, remains to be seen. Presumably, Zepp Health is also working on a follow-up to the standard Active 2 smartwatch. However, the company has yet to officially announce the upcoming launch of either product.
It is unclear whether a Malaysian certification filing for an Amazfit smartwatch is linked to the Active 3 smartwatch or the rumored T-Rex Ultra 2. As for a possible release date for the Active 3 and Active 3 Premium wearables, we can look at the launches of the older Active and Active 2 smartwatches. The latter arrived around 15 months after the original; this might mean that the Active 3 smartwatches will be released in April or May 2026. We will have to wait for Zepp Health to provide more information about this upcoming device.
