Amazfit has officially announced the Active Max, the newest smartwatch in its Active series. The watch weighs 39.5 grams without the strap and uses a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with automatic brightness adjustment. According to Amazfit, peak brightness reaches up to 3,000 nits.
The Active Max can track more than 160 sports and activities. These include running, gym workouts, and outdoor activities. Some sports modes support automatic detection, automatic pausing, and basic route creation for walking and running.
Heart rate tracking runs continuously and includes automatic detection of maximum heart rate and heart rate zones. The watch can issue alerts when heart rate exceeds set limits. After workouts, summaries are shown on the watch and in the Zepp app, with data covering training load, recovery status, sleep quality, heart rate variability, and Amazfit’s BioCharge energy metric.
Battery life is rated at up to 25 days under standard usage. With heavier use, Amazfit claims close to two weeks of battery life, while continuous GPS tracking is rated at up to 64 hours. The watch supports navigation features and offline maps, including topographic maps, ski maps, and contour maps.
The Active Max includes a built-in microphone and speaker and can connect to Bluetooth headphones and other Amazfit accessories. It has 4 GB of internal storage for offline music and podcast playback through mini-apps downloaded via the Zepp app. Activity data can be shared with services such as Strava, adidas Running, Google Fit, Komoot, and Relive.
Contactless payments are available on European models through Zepp Pay, depending on bank and card support. The Amazfit Active Max is now officially on sale in Europe as of December 30, 2025, with a price tag of €169.90.
