The new Zepp OS 5.0 software for the T-Rex 3 appears to be reaching more users worldwide. The first iteration of this update, software version 4.1.5.1, was reported by users in countries like Russia and China at the end of November 2025.
Now, it appears that a second version of this software is rolling out more widely to users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3. Several owners of the smartwatch have recently reported receiving the Zepp OS 5.0 update in countries like the US, Spain, Italy and Poland. The latest iteration is referred to as software version 4.1.6.9.
Comparing the release notes of versions 4.1.6.9 and 4.1.5.1, there are a few differences. The latest update mentions support for TrainingPeaks and Intervals.icu training plan syncing with the Zepp app and smartwatch. Two notes from the earlier update, missing in the new iteration, are a new Hiking activity type, and support for multiple consecutive measurements during sleep.
Otherwise, these two updates appear to be identical. With Zepp OS 5.0, users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 get a refreshed UI and animations, the ability to adjust text size and a Jet Lag Manager tool. The BioCharge app has been added to the smartwatch, replacing Readiness, and there is also a new Rucking activity. Plus, you can now log a Load measurement for activities like Trail Running and Hiking, and the Stryd Pod has been added as a supported accessory. On top of this, there is a new screenshot function, and Android users can enlarge images in the Noticication Center with a single tap.
Zepp Health has not announced when all users of the T-Rex 3 smartwatch (Onyx Black curr. $249.99 at Amazon) can expect to receive software version 4.1.6.9.
