Garmin is rolling out a new beta update for the Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 smartwatches. This version 15.33 release arrives just a few days after its predecessor, and is said to bring various bug fixes to these wearables. A post in the Garmin Forum points to a recent backlight-related issue on one model.

The Garmin Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 smartwatches are receiving a new beta update, version 15.33. The new software has been released just a few days after its predecessor, beta version 15.31.

Just like the last update, the beta version 15.33 release has a short change log, noting that it brings “various bug fixes and improvements”. Unfortunately, the company has not shared any further details about precisely which issues it has resolved.

In a post on the Garmin Forum, one Forerunner 970 smartwatch user notes that the backlight was still acting erratically after beta version 15.30. It could be that this is the problem which Garmin has resolved with the 15.33 update, though this has not been officially confirmed.

If you are a member of the Garmin beta program, you can now download the beta version 15.33 update by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates on your smartwatch. It is already available for all users of the Forerunner 570 and the Forerunner 970 (curr. $749.99 at Amazon) wearables.
