Garmin has moved its recent spate of beta development for the Vivoactive 6 and Venu X1 (curr. $595 on Amazon) to its stable development branch. To recap, the company introduced Software Version 15.16 at the end of October for both smartwatches. The culmination of multiple beta builds, Software Version 15.31 was quickly replaced by v15.31 on Garmin's Beta Program.
Fast forward a week and Garmin has now delivered Software Version 15.33 with two overarching changes from Software Version 15.16. On the one hand, the new update is said to contain 'various bug fixes and improvements'. Thus, Software Version 15.33 contains more than the two changes listed in Garmin's changelog. Unfortunately, the company has not elaborated further in this regard.
On the other hand, the new update is said to fix a potential crash that previously happened when playing music through Bluetooth headphones. For reference, this crash was only reported to have occurred during an activity. Currently, Garmin estimates that around 50% of Vivoactive 6 and Venu X1 smartwatches should have received a notification to download Software Version 15.33. If that is the case, then you can trigger a manual installation by tapping 'Check for Updates' after navigating through Menu, Settings and System on your Vivoactive 6 or Venu X1.
