Garmin has released beta version 15.16 for the Venu X1 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches. These updates arrive a few days after the company released beta version 15.10 for these two wearables.
As was the case with the previous update, the beta version 15.16 releases have an almost identical change log to the version 15.10 and version 15.08 updates. Like before, the change logs for both the Venu X1 and vivoactive 6 state that there is a new Health Status glance, and the device can be switched off with the user having to enter the passcode. Plus, for the Venu X1, three new watch faces are listed.
There is, however, one new change with beta version 15.16; an update for Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) Translations to version 3.10. Unfortunately, Garmin does not note exactly how this update will improve the smartwatches.
In posts on the Garmin forum, a team member indicates that the beta version 15.16 updates are now available for all users of the Venu X1 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches (curr. $299.99 at Amazon). If you are a member of the Garmin beta program, you will be able to install the update by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates.
