Garmin has released software version 5.12 for one of its 2025 smartwatch models. Compared to the last stable update, this is a relatively minor release focusing on bug fixes. All Users of the Bounce 2 smartwatch are now able to install this software via a dedicated app.

Garmin has released another stable update for the Bounce 2 kids smartwatch. This second generation of the LTE wearable was released earlier in 2025, with features like two-way voice messaging and voice calling, and support for voice commands.

This Garmin smartwatch was last updated only a few weeks ago with software version 5.10, a major release which brought a battery life improvement linked to poor LTE environments, support for the Fish activity, and other improvements and bug fixes.

The new Bounce 2 update, version 5.12, is a relatively minor release. The change log simply states that it brings bug fixes to the smartwatch without providing further details. As such, it is unclear how users will benefit from this software update.

Firmware version 5.12 is now available for all users of the Bounce 2 smartwatch (curr. from $289.99 at Amazon). This software update should be pushed automatically to the wearable when it is connected to a smartphone with the Garmin Jr. App. Alternatively, it can sync via the Garmin Express software for your computer.
