Garmin has released a new stable update for the Bounce 2 kids smartwatch. This wearable was launched in September 2025, a follow-up to the original Bounce watch. Now, software version 5.10 has arrived, landing around a month after version 4.28. This earlier update improved the responsiveness of the LTE bar and fixed various bugs.
The change log for software version 5.10 is said to improve the battery life of the Bounce 2 smartwatch when the user is in an area with poor LTE. The wearable gains a new activity, Fish, and Garmin indicates that it has made improvements to existing activities like Run, Walk, and Bike.
Users of the Bounce 2 can now access several new languages, though these are not listed in the version 5.10 release notes. Another change relates to the watch’s vibration, which has been disabled for reminders when in school or sleep mode. The calling experience when switching from Wi-Fi to LTE has been improved, and the company has also tackled an issue that occurred when a user tried to pair multiple sets of headphones or earbuds to the device.
In a post in the Garmin forum, a representative for the brand confirmed that software version 5.10 was now available for all users of the Bounce 2 smartwatch (curr. $299.99 at Amazon). You can install the update via the Garmin Jr. App on the connected smartphone.
