Huawei is rolling out a global update for the Watch Ultimate 2. This smartwatch officially launched in various European countries in October 2025, featuring several upgrades over the original model.
Now, the HarmonyOS 6.0.0.156 software has been reported by users in this market. According to the change log, this 1.01 GB update makes it possible for you to make or receive calls using the watch’s eSIM when in power-saving mode. Similarly, users can also send and receive SMS messages via eSIM when this battery-preserving setting is switched on. Huawei indicates that it has enabled Voice over LTE (VoLTE) by default for some eSIM providers; it is worth noting that VoLTE cannot be controlled manually.
On top of this, users of the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch can now connect various external accessories, including heart rate monitors, power meters, speed sensors and cadence sensors, to the wearable. Plus, there are also said to be improvements to system stability.
Software version 6.0.0.156 appears to be rolling out in phases to users of the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 (curr. €872.03 at Amazon DE). When it is available, you will be able to download and install the update via the Huawei Health app, or directly on the watch by going to Settings > System & updates > Software updates.
