Garmin has released a new beta update for the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 smartwatches. Beta version 27.08 arrives a couple of weeks after the previous release, beta version 27.05, which fixed a swim activity-related issue which could cause these smartwatches to crash.
The beta version 27.08 update is said to improve the scrolling experience for Forerunner smartwatch users in the activity summary menu, thanks to a bug fix. For four of the wearables, excluding the Forerunner 255, there is a second bug fix. This resolves a problem which could lead to users being unable to use actions on the touchscreen for an incoming call.
The final line in the change log for beta version 27.08 states that there are other minor bug fixes and improvements. However, there are no further details here. According to recent posts in the Garmin Forum, Beta Version 27.08 is now available for all users of the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 smartwatches (curr. $449.99 at Amazon). If you wish to download this firmware, go to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates.
